An amateur racing driver had a miraculous escape when his car cartwheeled through the air during a race and remarkably landed back on its tyres.
The Formula Ford 2000 car driven by Derek Smith, 58, flipped at least twice as it careered through the air at the Donnington Park race track in Leicestershire.
However, as race wardens raced to the scene to make sure everything was okay, Mr Smith was able to calmly step out of the vehicle, completely unhurt.
